SUPERVISION®

CCTV Re-Envisioned – from the Ground up

SUPERVISION® builds on ROVVER®´s legendary agility and portability, delivering a state-of-the-art control interface and a sophisticated network control architecture allowing longer runs, concurrent functionality and remote diagnostics. Like ROVVER®, it has modular design that reconfigures easily to answer any combination of pipe size, material and condition. Steerability and a short wheelbase help it navigate past debris, offsets, and inverts. Three chassis sizes allow inspection of pipelines 4” to 60” diameter. A automatic cable reel reduces the pulling burden on the crawler (extending inspection range) and prevents cable tangles during backward crawl.

SUPERVISION®’s size, maneuverability and power let you travel further, overcoming debris and pipe damage to capture vivid inspection footage from all directions.

Features:

  • BackEye camera and freewheel clutch facilitate reverse travel and cable management.
  • Elevator on SVR250 centers view in pipes up to 1000mm (30”) dia.
  • Dual lasers help measure defects.
  • Steerable 6-wheel drive maneuvers past offsets, inverts and debris, travelling up to 500m (1640’).
  • 6.9mm (0.024”) dia. Kevlar-reinforced cable weighs just 0.045 kg/m
(0.075 oz/ft), extending crawl range by reducing cable drag.
  • Sealed aluminum/stainless design withstands submersion to 100m, or to 500m 1640’) using deep well components.
SUPERVISION® System

Synchronized operation and robust digital control networking ensure optimum performance and responsiveness.

  • 512 Hz or 33 kHz SONDE facilitates location.
  • Inclinometer measures pitch and roll, sounding alarm to warn against flipping.
  • Slip clutches protect travel, camera and elevator drives.

Focus on your inspection footage, not on controls. SUPERVISION®´s interface emphasizes easy access to common control functions, with soft-menu access to more specialized settings.

  • Ergonomically positioned proportional-control joysticks, thumbwheel dials and illuminated push-buttons grant fingertip access to all crawler and reel functions.
  • Digital readouts allow soft-menu navigation to virtually any system function, plus a wealth of inspection, performance and diagnostic data.

With the PipeBus networked digital control platform, SUPERVISION® uses lighter cable and supports simultaneous control of multiple crawler and reel functions.

  1. Microprocessors in the controller, reel, crawler and camera head communicate over a 6-conductor digital network, offering extensive control, datalogging and diagnostic capabilities. Connect the controller to a PC and iPEK technicians can troubleshoot, calibrate and upload new firmware to your crawler remotely.

The open-architecture PipeBus protocol makes SUPERVISION® highly scalable and future compatible.
